You can say it however makes you happy, but we choose to emphasize the GOOD in GOODLES. We say "Good-ulz" ('Good' rhymes with 'Wood'). If you're stressed about how to say it, just remember IT'S ALLLLLLL GOODLES!

What is the GOODLES Guarantee?

Where are GOODLES made?

All GOODLES products are made in the United States.

Where can I buy Gooder products?

You can always find our full selection of GOODLES products at GOODLES.com (please use the flag drop-down menu and be sure you are shopping and checking out on the correct international site). But in the USA, you may also find GOODLES on store shelves at Target, Whole Foods Market, Foxtrot, Safeway, Albertsons, Vons, Jewel-Osco and Shopper’s Corner here in Santa Cruz. If your local store doesn’t carry us, please ask the store manager to stock GOODLES!

OMG! Did Gal Gadot cook my noodles?

Maybe! Not. :-) Gal is indeed a Founding Partner of GOODLES and executive on our team. She's doing lots of things around here, but actually cooking up your Mac is not one of them. That's handled in an FDA-certified manufacturing facility here in the US.

Where is the GOODLES headquarters and can we come visit?

We are proudly headquartered in Santa Cruz, CA, the perfect weird, joyful and foodie place for this brand to call home. Santa Cruz is a surfing and mountain biking mecca. And the home town for The Mystery Spot, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, UCSC Banana Slugs, and some of the best restaurants, vineyards and breweries in the country. There are very few roads that are straight here - everything hugs the curved Monterey Bay coastline. Our offices are not currently open to the public, but we hope to be open for retail sales and sampling soon! We are also working with our friend Rabji at the neighboring River Cafe to start serving GOODLES mac and cheese in early 2022. Stay tuned!

Is GOODLES hiring?

Email your resume to joinus@GOODLES.com! While we might not always be actively hiring, we love to meet new people and will save your information for future opportunities!

Orders

How long until I receive my shipment?

Expect your product within 5-10 business days to most of the US.

Where does GOODLES ship?

On GOODLES’ US site http://goodles.com , we ship to the contiguous US states. We also ship to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico with appropriate shipping rates. But we get requests from so many countries (thank you for the cheesy love!) and so we are rolling out shipping to new countries roughly based on the amount of website visits we see on our GOODLES.com site. Oh Canada! You were first!!! Check out http://GOODLES.ca. Israel and Mexico, you are up next!!! On GOODLES.com, use the flag drop-down menu in the top nav to see all the countries that we can currently ship to. Be sure to place your order on the country-specific site.

Do you sell internationally?

Yes. We are currently shipping to Canada!

Why is the shipping cost to countries outside of the USA higher than it is to ship to the US?

Our base of operations is still here in Santa Cruz, CA USA and we are American products with American packaging, so we need to ship GOODLES mac and cheese to our Canadian, Israeli and Mexican friends from America. We’re covering some of the shipping costs, but with the shipping fee charged to you, you’re paying to help defray the cost of international shipping, customs duties (if relevant) and an international shipping customer support team. One day soon we hope to be completely localized and to be able to sell on retail shelves in other countries, but that’s still a ways off. We hope this is better than nothing! (Quick tip: the shipping cost per box goes down as you purchase more!)

What's the return/refund policy?

Is GOODLES mac and cheese Low Glycemic Index (Low (GI)?

GOODLES mac and cheeses are Low Glycemic Index (GI) foods! The Glycemic Index is a method of classifying carbohydrate foods. High glycemic foods cause a quick spike in insulin and blood sugar (also known as blood glucose) and then a steep drop. By contrast, low GI foods, like GOODLES mac and cheese cause a smaller rise in blood sugar levels after eating, which may help people lose weight, may improve the body’s sensitivity to insulin over time in those that are overweight, and may help to satisfy appetite longer.

What makes GOODLES gooder?

For everything we cook up, we always start with "it has to taste delicious!" and then we pack it with as much nutrition as we can squeeze in without changing the yummy taste. Our GOODLES mac & cheese tastes AMAZING -- even better than ones you ate when you were a kid -- and it has 15 grams of protein per 1 cup serving, 6 grams of fiber, prebiotics to support gut health, and 21 nutrients from organic plants! Check out how we stack up here. But it's not just about making noodles gooder! As a brand, we strive to Make, Be and Do Gooder everywhere.

I see that GOODLES has been awarded the Clean Label Project Purity Award. What does that mean?

GOODLES is the very first boxed mac and cheese ever to receive the coveted Clean Label Purity Award! They take final products in final packaging and send it out to a 3rd party testing lab to test it for over 400 contaminants. Only products that meet their highest standard are certified. You can review their methodology here: https://cleanlabelproject.org/purity-award/

Where does GOODLES' protein and fiber come from?

The 15g of protein per 1 cup serving of GOODLES (the same as 2 1/2 hard-boiled eggs!) comes from both our noodles, which contain extra protein from wheat and chickpea, and the dairy ingredients in our cheese blends. The high fiber (6g per serving, which makes us a high-fiber food!) and the prebiotics in our fiber come from a special wheat flour that we use that has 10 times more fiber than standard wheat flour.

Does the nutrition information on the box reflect cooked or uncooked pasta?

You'll see two columns on our nutrition labels. The first column is the nutrition profile of what's in 73g of the product in the box, unprepared. The second column, though, shows the nutrition facts for 1 cup of cooked-up GOODLES, prepared as we've recommended it on the box. That 1 cup serving size is mandated by the FDA so that you can compare nutrition facts across competitive products. See how we stack up here.

Do GOODLES products contain peanuts or tree nuts?

Our main flavors of mac & cheese (Cheddy Mac, Twist My Parm, Mover & Shaker, and Shella Good) contain no peanuts or nuts of any kind.

Our Vegan Flavor contains cashews.

All of our manufacturing facilities have robust procedures to control cross contamination.

I don't taste vegetables or see vegetables in the GOODLES noodles but I know there are 21 nutrients from plants! How did you do this?

Some of GOODLES' nutrients come from the wheat, the chickpea protein and the dairy in our products, but we also add nutrients extracted from organic veggies and other plants. We start with nutrient-dense, organic superfoods like chlorella (a fresh-water algae!), maitake and shiitake mushrooms, sunflower seeds, kale and more. The nutrients are so powerful that only a tiny amount is needed, thereby keeping flavor clean and yummy.

Are GOODLES gluten-free?

We have two gluten-free macs, GLUTEN-FREE CHEDDY MAC and GLUTEN-FREE VEGAN BE HEROES, which is also dairy-free!

Is GOODLES kosher?

Yes! See below product list:

Goodles Cheddy Mac
Goodles Shella Good
Goodles Mover and Shaker
Goodles Vegan is Believin (Kosher Parve)
Goodles Down the Hatch
Goodles Here Comes Truffle
Goodles Hey Hey Elote
Goodles Smokey Dokey
Goodles Curveballs (Kosher Parve)
Goodles Loopdy Loos (Kosher Parve)
Goodles Lucky Penne (Kosher Parve)

Are GOODLES non-GMO?

Yes, we only source non-GMO ingredients and require written verification from each of our suppliers. The Non-GMO "butterfly" certification is super expensive and time-consuming for a small company to pursue, so we have not done that, but all ingredients are indeed non-GMO.

Are GOODLES organic?

Our nutrients do come from organic veggies and plants, but our overall finished product is NOT certified organic. However, the presence of pesticides are one of the 400 things that The Clean Label Project tests our product for in an independent 3rd party lab, and all four GOODLES flavors have achieved Clean Label Purity Award certification.

Is GOODLES allergen-free?

Our original flavors of GOODLES mac & cheese contain both wheat and dairy. VEGAN IS BELIEVIN' contains wheat and cashews, GLUTEN-FREE CHEDY MAC contains dairy, and GLUTEN-FREE VEGAN BE HEROES contains cashews.

Does GOODLES test for heavy metals?

Unfortunately, some levels of heavy metals are found virtually everywhere in the environment. There are sources that are naturally occurring (e.g., from volcanic activity) and others that occur from heavy industrial or everyday activity (such as from leaded gas (in the past), to mining and lead paint). Heavy metals including lead and cadmium, are found in soil, air, and water and can leach into growing plants - even organic crops. Heavy metals are persistent in the environment and may be detected decades after the initial exposure. Thus, depending on past exposure of the soil, air, and water, even homegrown fruits and vegetables may contain heavy metals.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is the governing body responsible for regulating most food products in the US. The FDA, however, does not have regulations regarding levels of lead and other heavy metals for most product categories, including boxed mac and cheese.

At GOODLES, we made the decision early on to be proactive. We were the first boxed mac and cheese ever to receive the Clean Label Purity Award. To receive this award, our products are tested by a third-party laboratory, screening for over 400 contaminants, including several heavy metals. Only products that meet their highest standards are certified. You can review their methodology here: https://cleanlabelproject.org/purity-award/
